What is the Namecheap affiliate program?
The Namecheap affiliate program is a marketing program where you can receive a commission for helping us generate sales. We provide you with all the advertising tools such as banner ads, links and tracking codes for you to place on your sites.
When a visitor clicks on an ad or a link on your site, the transaction is tracked. If this transaction results in a visitor's signup and order placement, you get paid for the first purchase made by this visitor.
It is a great and easy way to earn extra money by promoting Namecheap.

How do I sign up to be a Namecheap Affiliate?
Please sign up or login to your Namecheap account. Then navigate to Profile => Tools > Business & Dev Tools => Affiliate program => toggle the button to enable the feature => Done.

What commission do you offer?
We offer a flat 15% commission on any first sale you generate.
That is, when a person you have referred buys something from Namecheap, you get a flat 15% commission for each item of the first order made by your referral.
Products eligible for commissions are:
- Domain registration/transfer;
- WhoisGuard subscription (paid ones);
- Hosting services;
- Private Email plans (paid ones);
- SSL certificates.
We do not pay commissions for Premium Domains, Marketplace domains, hosting add-on products, additional mailboxes for Namecheap Private Email and additional domains for SSL certificates.
What are the payment options for affiliates?
Commissions are held for 30 days. You can then transfer your earned commission to your Namecheap account funds to buy products from our site. Alternatively, when your commission amount reaches a certain limit, you can make a withdrawal by transferring the amount to your PayPal account.
The minimum amount for PayPal withdrawals is $100.
What happens if my referral returns the product?
In the event that your referral gets a refund for the order, or if the order was canceled for any reason or was fraudulent, your commission amount for that particular transaction will be removed.
Will I get a commission for a direct referral that did not include an affiliate id?
Unfortunately no, we cannot track a referral that does not include an Affiliate ID.
How can I opt out of the Affiliate Program?
To opt out of the Affiliate Program, please email us at affiliates@namecheap.com mentioning your username and Affiliate ID and we will get back to you.
Will I still get a commission if my referral comes back later to make a first purchase at Namecheap?
Our affiliate program uses cookies to track sales generated by your affiliate link. In order for our system to track this info properly, the following conditions should be met:
Cookies must be enabled in the browser's settings before your referral follows the link;
Cookies must not be cleared before a purchase is made by your referral;
Your referral should use the same browser to sign up for a Namecheap account and to make a purchase.
The cookies last 15 days. This means if the above conditions were met, your referral has 15 days to complete the purchase for which you will get the commission afterward.
I gave my affiliate link to another person; however, the affiliate ID disappeared from the URL. Will I still get a commission in this case?
The affiliate link you found in the Namecheap Affiliate Program area is cookie-based.
It means that when a referrer follows the affiliate link, it adds a cookie to the visitors browser. If the purchase is made successfully, the cookie allows our system to recognize whether it was an affiliate order or no.
When an affiliate link is used, the Affiliate ID is shown in the URL. However, if a person is navigating on the website, it can disappear. Generally, the cookie is stored in a browser for 15 days.
If I have any issues or need assistance with my affiliate account or commissions, who do I contact?

Do coupon codes work with affiliates?

There are no restrictions on who can become an affiliate as long as your affiliate activity complies with our Affiliate Program Terms of Service. You only need to have an account with Namecheap and activate the Affiliate Program inside your account.
Do you provide any banners or logos for affiliates?
We have a bunch of banners available to promote Namecheap as well as text links.
You can find the banners and the embed codes with your Affiliate ID in the related section of the account: Profile => Tools => Affiliate Program.
Do you provide banners in other languages?
No, we provide banners in English only at the moment.
I want to design my own banner with the Namecheap logo. Will it be regarded as a copyright violation?
This is not currently allowed. You can exclusively use the affiliate banners as provided to you by Namecheap in your account: Profile => Tools => Affiliate Program.

No, we do not assist our affiliates in promoting their websites.
Can people I refer see my username?
Namecheap (or affiliate) username is not reflected in the link on in referrals' accounts anyhow. Your referrals will be able to see your Affiliate ID only.
Is there a way to track number of clicks? I would like to know how many people followed my affiliate link
At the moment, we do not provide a tool that tracks the number of clicks in the affiliate interface.
